Nancy Glass, owner of Maid Smart, Inc., started the first professional maid service in Northern Colorado 32 years ago! When Maid Smart Inc. was named “Business of the Month” by the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, they described Nancy as “A Real Pioneer!”. Not only was hers one of a few women owned businesses in Fort Collins, she provided and continues to provide viable employment for women in Northern Colorado.
All employees under go a thorough background check before they are offered employment and all employees are well trained, motivated and caring people who are dedicated to performing the best possible cleaning for every customer. To insure that her high standards are maintained, both Nancy and her manager spend a lot of time stopping by their customer’s homes to make certain the cleaning is being performed as promised and that the cleaning teams have everything they need to complete their tasks.
Nancy’s attention to detail and successful management technique has garnered the trust of customers and employees alike. She has expanded her business from a small leased space with a handful of employees to a large office and warehouse space which she owns with her husband, Larry. Nancy employs a full time manager and approximately 12 to 14 cleaners.
In addition to managing a demanding business, Nancy still finds time to give back to our community. Since 1984 she has been a leader on The Chamber of Commerce’s Red Carpet Committee which welcomes and encourages new businesses in their start-up phase. Her advice is requested frequently and she always takes time to mentor others.
